Indian Spices

Namaste. I would like to introduce myself. This is Jyothsna Srinivas and I am a mother of two kids, I have one 9 years old daughter and 5 years old son. I have done my post-graduation in Computer Science (MSc(Computer Science). After my education, I got a job in an MNC software company.  My husband is also working in some MNC software company as a QA-Manager. My parents and my In-laws are staying in our hometowns This is about me and my family.





These spices play a very important role in Indian cooking. If there are no spices, it’s not Indian food. We Indians have a habit of spicing up our food to make it more hot and tasty. Some of the spices are required for the aroma, some for flavor and some for complimenting other spices.

Spices are defined as “a strongly flavored or aromatic substance of vegetable origin, obtained from tropical plants, commonly used as a condiment”. Spices were once as precious as Gold. India plays a very important role in the spice market of the world. In ancient times a majority of the spices were produced in India and exported worldwide. From Ancient times, spices have played a major role and offer significant health benefits and contribute towards an individual's healthy life. Spices or Masala called the “heartbeat” of an Indian kitchen. The secret ingredient that makes Indian food truly Indian is the generous use of signature spices. These have added unforgettable flavor’s and life to Indian cuisine. Indian spices. They add flavor and nutrients to dishes without fat or calories! A spice may be available in several forms: fresh, whole dried, or pre-ground dried. Generally, spices are dried. List of few available spices Cardamom, clove, black pepper, cumin, coriander, Nutmeg and mace, mustard seeds etc in the market.

Fenugreek Seeds




It is mainly used as a green leafy vegetable and seeds are used for seasoning and preparing masalas. It also has many medicinal uses. Fenugreek seed and leaves are good for increasing breast milk in lactating women. It is also helpful for treating diabetes and lowering cholesterol as it helps in reducing blood sugar levels. You can consume it either by incorporating it in your diet or chewing its seeds (after soaking them overnight). Fenugreek also helps in maintaining a good metabolism and prevents constipation. It purifies blood and helps in flushing out the harmful toxins.

A lot of mothers want to increase breast milk as they feel they are not producing enough for their baby’s requirements. This worry is common and you should take solace in the fact that you are not alone in this worry. Methi seeds should be soaked overnight, boiled and strained and had every morning to increase milk supply. Fenugreek seeds have been used for generations across the world to increase breast milk production. It is rich in omega-3 fats which is important for your baby’s brain development. You can also use fenugreek leaves as they are rich in beta-carotene, vitamin B, calcium, and iron. Fenugreek seeds can be added to tea while brewing it or can be used in vegetable preparation. The seeds are also added to roti and puri.

Methi benefits the heart also by reducing the bad cholesterol in the blood as well as prevents atherosclerosis (building up of fat and cholesterol in the arterial walls) which lower heart problems further.

Fenugreek is an awfully interesting and adaptable herb.It is claimed to have benefits for various health conditions and has been used for all sorts of purposes in herbal medicine.However, modern science is just beginning to discover its true benefits.

Based on the available evidence, fenugreek has benefits for lowering blood sugar levels, boosting testosterone and increasing milk production in breastfeeding mothers.

Fenugreek may also benefit cholesterol levels, lower inflammation and help with appetite control, but more research is needed in these areas.

More research on this powerful medicinal plant is underway, and it will be interesting to see the results in the years to come.

A beauty of Early Morning :)




The atmosphere in the morning is always fresh and cool. The gardens are full of the sweet perfumes of flowers. All this pleases our heart. The dew drops on the green grass shine like pearls. Sweet note of birds add to the joy. There is no pollution of any sort. It gives us a good start to our day. Its sharpens the appetite and helps us to digest whatever we take.


 A cool breeze was blowing. The sight was very charming at early morning. Dew drops were laying on the leaves. Of green grass. They looked like pearls. . Nature was quite calm. Flowers were blossoming there and they were giving out a sweet smell. Some birds chirped from time to time.

Greetings....

Myself and My Family:

 I would like to introduce myself. This is Jyothsna and I am a mother of two kids, I have one 9 years old daughter and 5 years old son. I have done my post-graduation in Computer Science (MSc(Computer Science) . After my education I got a job in MNC software company.  My husband is also working in some MNC software company as a QA-Manager. My parents and my In-laws are staying in our hometowns This is about me and my family.

My hobbies & Interests:

I love to watch movies and listening to soothing music.  Since last year I started practicing Yoga I love cooking and preparing spicy powders to prepare tasty food.

My professional experience- I have 10 years of experience in software industry. I have resigned from Job in April 2017 to take care of my son . 

About my venture:
I have started my venture in Dec 2014 during my sabbatical to support my husband financially. We have given the name as "HomeNeed Species 4u" for my venture and started with few Spicy powders. I got a good response from other Women groups when I created a Facebook group and posted about my spicy powders details in their groups. Started getting orders online and home delivered them on time using courier service near my home. I have decided to take my venture seriously and Taken the Food License and registered my venture to take this to bigger level and introduce my powders in the international market.
